Who loves money?
Own Up!
Let's face it, we all love money!
Whether what you're after is the thrill of the Ferrari gas pedal under your foot and the wind through your hair, or the deeper satisfaction of knowing you gave money in the bank at a good rate of interest and that barring global financial catastrophe you will never have to work again, money is the key.
Get that quote right!
There is a common misconception that “money is the root of all evil”, but actually the quote says that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. There's a difference. There's also a very valid opinion that the LACK of money is the root of all evil!
The truth is that money, by and of itself is neither good nor evil. Money is only as good or evil as the use it is put to.
The lack of money CAN drive people to act in unscrupulous ways, just as too much money CAN drive the unscrupulous to abandon decency.
We can also suffer from psychological blocks when it comes to making and investing money. That very “money is the root of all evil” quote touches something that is an unfortunate part of the Western attitude to wealth. It's an interesting statistic that over twenty percent of big money lottery winners declare bankruptcy within ten years of their life changing win.
Rich Versus Wealthy...
Having a lot of money is not all it takes to be wealthy. To keep that money, to invest it and make it work for you takes a certain mind-set which is the real difference between rich people and poor people. Feelings of guilt associated with being rich will soon transform into unconscious actions which sabotage the building of true wealth, and may result in 'losing' that money in a supposed run of 'bad luck' that is really the subconscious redressing it's discomfort at being rich.
So if your aim is to be wealthy you may have to ask yourself if you REALLY love money, or if somewhere deep inside you is the thought that rich people are 'stuck-up' or 'selfish'. Do you believe that investment or residual income is 'wrong' because the income is 'unearned'?
Change Your Mindset...
Getting rich and being wealthy may require a shift in your thinking. Make that shift and love money for all the right reasons!
